About Me

My goal is to help people through the use of Art Therapy.
Let me help spark your creativity, and bring more joy into your life. Rest, recharge and reconnect with yourself through the creation of art. Art therapy helped ground me, and show me the true importance of kindness and humanity. Because of Art Therapy helping me, I want to share this beautiful healing tool with you.

Hello and Welcome! My name is Sarah Fraske and I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada. Although I had a loving and supportive family unit growing up, I still lived through some life altering events involving grief, trauma, abandonment, and identity issues. Some of my hardest years were when I was becoming a young adult. I was so full of confusion and rage, having no control over my emotions and no idea which direction to head. If it wasn’t for my high school art teacher, who always encouraged me to create and to express myself through art, not only in his classroom, but at home, in my free time, I would have never learned that the creative process was helping heal me, reconnect with myself, and help process big moments that were happening in that point of time. I was so inspired with the creative process that I decided to continue my artistic career. I moved to Alberta and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Lethbridge. While in Lethbridge, I got a contract to run multiple art groups at the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta. Seeing how beneficial the art was for these people dealing with schizophrenia and everything that comes with it, was truly eye opening. It was then that I found out what Art Therapy was, and how much good it could do for people. It showed me that all of those years of creating, I was using art as therapy. From then on I was determined to become an Art Therapist. I moved to Vancouver and began my journey with the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute, eventually becoming a Professional Art Therapist and a member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association. I have just recently moved to Northern Ireland with my family and am continuing my practice overseas. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and a member of the British Association of Art Therapists. I am currently a HOPE Art Therapist at Familyworks as well as working out of my studio. Throughout my years of volunteering, travel, past experiences, education and growth, I have gained so much knowledge and empathy I can offer my clients. I have been there and done that in many situations and will pass no judgement on any being that decides to share their story with me. My goal is to help YOU on your Art Therapy journey in a safe and professional manner, and be a foundation on your way to self improvement.
